Olivaro ingredients list: what is in the bottle and what the label leaves out
The Olivaro ingredients list has three parts: chromium (as chromium picolinate) at 0.7 mcg, a proprietary blend of 22 ingredients that share one 200 mg total, and nine other ingredients including xylitol. No amount is printed for any single blend ingredient, and no olive ingredient is listed.

What is in Olivaro?
Olivaro lists one nutrient with its own amount, a 22-ingredient blend with one shared total, and nine other ingredients that make up the liquid.
The Supplement Facts panel prints chromium (as chromium picolinate) at 0.7 mcg and a Proprietary Blend at 200 mg, with the Daily Value for the blend marked as not established (Olivaro label). Below the panel, the label lists glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and natural flavors.
Nine other ingredients
Two sweeteners, two preservatives and an acid.
The blend
What are the 22 ingredients in the Olivaro blend?
The blend names 22 ingredients, from maca root extract first to L-carnitine base last, and prints no amount for any of them.
FDA's rule says a blend lists its total weight and its ingredients in descending order of predominance by weight (21 CFR 101.36(c), proprietary blends). If the label follows that order, maca is the largest and L-carnitine the smallest, but we did not verify it. If the 22 were equal, each would be about 9.1 mg (200 divided by 22); the label does not say they are equal.
Row 1: Chromium (as chromium picolinate): 0.7 mcg, 2% of the Daily Value.
Row 2: Proprietary Blend, 200 mg in all (Daily Value not established), 22 ingredients in label order, with no amount printed for any single one:
- Maca (Lepidium meyenii) Root Extract
- Grape (Vitis vinifera) Seed Extract
- Guarana (Paullinia cupana) Seed Extract
- African Mango (Irvingia gabonensis) Seed Extract
- Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus Senticosus) Root Extract
- Astragalus Root Extract
- Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) Leaf Extract
- Gymnema Leaf Extract
- Coleus Forskohlii Root Extract
- Capsicum Annuum Fruit Extract
- Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) Fruit Extract
- Panax Ginseng Aerial Extract
- Raspberry Ketones
- L-Glutamine
- L-Tyrosine
- L-Arginine Base
- Beta-Alanine
- Monoammonium Glycyrrhizinate
- GABA (Gamma amino butyric acid)
- L-Ornithine HCl
- L-Tryptophan
- L-Carnitine Base
Other ingredients: Glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid, natural flavors.
Typed from the label (Olivaro label). By FDA rule the ingredients of a proprietary blend are listed in descending order by weight (21 CFR 101.36(c), proprietary blends); the label does not print the weights.

How much chromium is in Olivaro?
Olivaro has 0.7 mcg of chromium in a 1 mL serving, which is 2% of the Daily Value.
The check is simple: 0.7 mcg is 0.0007 mg, and 0.7 divided by 0.02 gives 35 mcg, the adult Daily Value (NIH ODS, Chromium). NIH says the effect of chromium on glucose is unclear.

Do the Olivaro amounts match what studies used?
No: where a studied or reference amount exists, the label amount is far smaller or cannot be compared at all.
LiverTox gives 400 mg three times daily (1,200 mg) as the typical gymnema dose, and the whole blend is 200 mg, so gymnema could hold at most about one sixth of that (LiverTox, Gymnema). A meta-analysis found a low-certainty glucose fall with stevia only at 3,342 mg a day or more, and stevia sits outside the blend (Zare 2024, stevia glucose meta). No trial tested Olivaro.
- Chromium (mcg, not mg)0.7 mcg on the label
Reference level: the adequate intake for men is 35 mcg a day (NIH); the label's chromium is 0.7 mcg, 2% of the Daily Value; not a study dose. A reference level, not a study dose: the label is 2% of the level. (NIH ODS, Chromium)
- Gymnema (at most 200 mg, the whole blend)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Reference: LiverTox gives 400 mg three times daily (1,200 mg) as the typical dose; the label prints no gymnema amount, and 200 mg is the whole 22-ingredient blend. A reference level, not a study dose. The label prints no amount for this ingredient. (LiverTox, Gymnema)
- Caffeine (reference level)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Reference level: 400 mg a day is FDA's level for most healthy adults; the label states no caffeine amount (guarana and green tea are in the 200 mg blend). A reference level, not a study dose. The label prints no amount for this ingredient. (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine) (Schimpl 2013, guarana review)
- Stevia (study threshold)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Study: a meta-analysis found a low-certainty glucose fall only at 3,342 mg a day or more; the label prints no stevia amount. Studies used about 17 times the 200 mg blend ceiling. (Zare 2024, stevia glucose meta)
- Any other blend ingredientat most 200 mg: the whole blend
The label prints no amount for the other 18 ingredients; 200 mg is the whole blend. We found no trial at the unstated amount. No human trial range found. (21 CFR 101.36(c), proprietary blends) (Saldanha 2023, proprietary blends perspectives)
Log scale: each gridline is ten times the one before. Chromium is in micrograms (mcg), the other rows in milligrams (mg). Blend rows have no printed amount, so 200 mg, the whole blend, is shown as the most any one could hold. A bar being far away does not mean the product is unsafe or useless; it means the study results cannot be borrowed for it, because none tested Olivaro or this 22-ingredient blend.
Other ingredients
What are the other ingredients in Olivaro, and is there xylitol?
Yes, xylitol is listed among the nine other ingredients, and it is dangerous for dogs.
FDA says xylitol can trigger insulin release and low blood sugar in dogs within 10 to 60 minutes, and lists supplements as a possible source (FDA, Xylitol dangerous for dogs). Keep the bottle away from pets, and call a vet or animal poison control if a dog may have swallowed some. We found no source on xylitol's effects on people's stomachs.
The front also prints “Clean Ingredients*”. The label gives no meaning for that phrase, and the list includes sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and xylitol. The label lists no olive leaf, olive fruit or olive extract, even though the name suggests olive.
Before you take it
Which Olivaro ingredients should you ask a pharmacist about?
Ask about the ones with known cautions: the caffeine sources, the licorice-derived compound, gymnema, green tea extract and ginseng.
- Guarana seed holds up to 6% caffeine (Schimpl 2013, guarana review), and the label prints no caffeine amount. FDA's 400 mg a day for most healthy adults is only a reference level (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine).
- Glycyrrhizin from licorice is linked to low potassium and higher blood pressure (Deutch 2019, licorice and blood pressure). The review does not cover monoammonium glycyrrhizinate itself, and no amount is printed.
- Gymnema and green tea extract have rare liver case reports (LiverTox, Gymnema) (LiverTox, green tea).
- NCCIH says Asian ginseng might lower blood sugar (NCCIH, Asian ginseng). For the grapefruit extract we found no source on drug interactions.
If you take insulin or diabetes pills, ask a clinician or pharmacist first, and never stop or change a prescribed medicine because of a supplement. Signs of severe low blood sugar (confusion, fainting, seizure), chest pain or trouble breathing: call 911. Stop and seek care for dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or belly pain. Pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition should ask a physician first, as the label says. See medicine interactions.
FAQ
Olivaro ingredients: common questions
How many ingredients are in Olivaro?
Olivaro lists 32 ingredients in all: chromium, 22 in the proprietary blend and nine other ingredients. Only chromium has its own printed amount, 0.7 mcg. The blend has one 200 mg total for its 22 names.
Does Olivaro contain olive leaf?
No olive ingredient is listed. The label shows no olive leaf, olive fruit or olive extract, even though the name suggests olive.
Does Olivaro contain caffeine?
Guarana seed and green tea leaf are in the blend, and both are caffeine sources. The label prints no caffeine amount, so we cannot say how much a serving holds. Ask a clinician if you are sensitive to caffeine.
Is the amount of each Olivaro ingredient listed?
No. The label prints chromium at 0.7 mcg and one 200 mg total for the 22 blend ingredients. If the 22 were equal, each would be about 9.1 mg, but the label does not say they are equal.
Does Olivaro contain xylitol?
Yes, xylitol is one of the nine other ingredients. It is dangerous for dogs, so store the bottle out of their reach and call a vet if a dog may have swallowed some.
Are there any allergen statements on the Olivaro label?
We found none printed on the label image, and natural flavors are listed without a source. Anyone with an allergy should ask a pharmacist first.
