The formula
Olivaro formula amounts: what the label prints and what studies used
The Olivaro formula has two printed rows: chromium at 0.7 mcg (2% of the 35 mcg Daily Value) and a proprietary blend of 200 mg shared by 22 ingredients. The label prints no amount for any blend ingredient, so no row can be matched to a studied dose. No trial tested Olivaro.

The two rows
What is the Olivaro formula?
The Olivaro formula is a liquid with two Supplement Facts rows: chromium at 0.7 mcg and a proprietary blend that totals 200 mg (Olivaro label).
A serving is 1 mL, and a 30 mL bottle holds 30 servings. Olivaro is a liquid, not a capsule.
The bottle front reads “Balanced Blood Sugar Advanced Support*”. The star leads to the printed FDA statement that the claims have not been evaluated. Below, the numbers sit beside the research. Studies used other preparations, so none of them describes this liquid.

The label rows of the Supplement Facts panel, grouped by ingredient page. Only chromium has a printed amount; the blend rows share one 200 mg total. Check the panel on your own bottle; if it differs, the bottle wins.
The full panel is typed out on the supplement facts page.
Row one
What does the Olivaro chromium 0.7 mcg row mean?
The chromium row is 0.7 mcg, which is 2% of the Daily Value, and it is the only row with an amount of its own.
The Daily Value for chromium is 35 mcg for adults (NIH ODS, Chromium). Check the label: 0.7 / 35 = 0.02, or 2%. In milligrams, 0.7 mcg is 0.0007 mg.
The same NIH sheet says the effect of chromium on glucose is unclear and that chromium may add to the effect of insulin and metformin. In a meta-analysis of 10 trials with 509 people who had type 2 diabetes, only HbA1c was lower, not fasting glucose; the abstract gives no doses (Zhao 2022, chromium type 2 diabetes meta). No trial tested Olivaro, and the ADA's 2026 Standards of Care say the evidence does not support herbs or micronutrients for glycemic benefit (ADA 2026, Standards of Care, supplements).

Row two
How much of each ingredient is in the Olivaro 200 mg blend?
The label does not say. It prints 200 mg for the whole blend and no amount for any of the 22 ingredients.
FDA's rule for proprietary blends asks for the total weight and the ingredients in descending order by weight, not for each amount (21 CFR 101.36(c), proprietary blends). A review found that this layout leaves blends unusable for dose assessment (Saldanha 2023, proprietary blends perspectives).
One piece of arithmetic is possible. If the 22 were equal, which the label does not say, each would be about 9.1 mg (200 / 22). The most any one could hold is the whole 200 mg.
| Reading | Per ingredient |
|---|---|
| Printed amount | Not printed |
| If the 22 were equal (not stated) | 200 / 22 = about 9.1 mg |
| Ceiling for any one row | 200 mg, the whole blend |

Label vs studies
How do Olivaro label amounts compare with studied doses?
Where a comparison exists, the label amount is far below what studies or reference levels use. For most rows there is nothing to compare.
The chart sets each label amount against a study or reference amount. The studied amounts are not label doses, and for blend rows the bar shows only the ceiling of 200 mg. Rows with no human trial show as none found.
- Chromium (mcg, not mg)0.7 mcg on the label
Reference level: the adequate intake for men is 35 mcg a day (NIH); the label's chromium is 0.7 mcg, 2% of the Daily Value; not a study dose. A reference level, not a study dose: the label is 2% of the level. (NIH ODS, Chromium)
- Gymnema (at most 200 mg, the whole blend)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Reference: LiverTox gives 400 mg three times daily (1,200 mg) as the typical dose; the label prints no gymnema amount, and 200 mg is the whole 22-ingredient blend. A reference level, not a study dose. The label prints no amount for this ingredient. (LiverTox, Gymnema)
- Caffeine (reference level)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Reference level: 400 mg a day is FDA's level for most healthy adults; the label states no caffeine amount (guarana and green tea are in the 200 mg blend). A reference level, not a study dose. The label prints no amount for this ingredient. (FDA, Spilling the Beans caffeine) (Schimpl 2013, guarana review)
- Stevia (study threshold)at most 200 mg: the whole blend
Study: a meta-analysis found a low-certainty glucose fall only at 3,342 mg a day or more; the label prints no stevia amount. Studies used about 17 times the 200 mg blend ceiling. (Zare 2024, stevia glucose meta)
- Any other blend ingredientat most 200 mg: the whole blend
The label prints no amount for the other 18 ingredients; 200 mg is the whole blend. We found no trial at the unstated amount. No human trial range found. (21 CFR 101.36(c), proprietary blends) (Saldanha 2023, proprietary blends perspectives)
Log scale: each gridline is ten times the one before. Chromium is in micrograms (mcg), the other rows in milligrams (mg). Blend rows have no printed amount, so 200 mg, the whole blend, is shown as the most any one could hold. A bar being far away does not mean the product is unsafe or useless; it means the study results cannot be borrowed for it, because none tested Olivaro or this 22-ingredient blend.
Gymnema shows the gap. LiverTox gives 400 mg three times daily, or 1,200 mg, as a typical dose, and 200 / 1,200 is about one sixth (LiverTox, Gymnema). For stevia, a meta-analysis of 26 studies found a low-certainty glucose fall only at 3,342 mg a day or more (Zare 2024, stevia glucose meta).

What is the Olivaro dosage?
The label says to take 1 or 2 droppers full daily and not to exceed the recommended dose, but it does not print how many mL a dropper holds.
The serving size is 1 mL and a bottle has 30 servings. If one 1 mL serving a day is taken, 30 servings is 30 days. Droppers cannot be converted to mL, so we cannot work out how many days a bottle lasts at 1 or 2 droppers a day.
Keep taking prescribed medicine exactly as directed. Ask a clinician or pharmacist before use if you take insulin or diabetes pills. Signs of severe low blood sugar (confusion, fainting, seizure), chest pain or trouble breathing: call 911.
Steps and cautions are on the how to use page.
Everything else
What else is in the Olivaro formula besides chromium and the blend?
The panel also lists glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and natural flavors.
No olive ingredient is on the panel, even though the name suggests one. Xylitol is toxic to dogs, so keep the bottle away from pets, and call a vet or animal poison control if a dog may have swallowed some (FDA, Xylitol dangerous for dogs). Guarana and green tea are caffeine sources, and the label prints no caffeine amount.
Questions
Olivaro formula FAQ
How many ingredients are in the Olivaro formula?
The panel has two rows: chromium as chromium picolinate and a proprietary blend of 22 ingredients. Water, glycerin and the other ingredients are listed separately. Only chromium (0.7 mcg) has its own amount; the blend has a 200 mg total.
Does the label print the dose of each Olivaro ingredient?
No. It prints 0.7 mcg for chromium and 200 mg for the whole blend, and no amount for the 22 blend ingredients, so no one can tell whether any is near a studied dose.
Is 0.7 mcg of chromium a lot?
No. It is 2% of the 35 mcg Daily Value (0.7 / 35), or one fiftieth of the 35 mcg adequate intake NIH lists for men aged 19 to 50. It is a reference level, not a study dose.
Can I work out how many days one bottle lasts?
Only one way: one 1 mL serving a day makes 30 servings, or 30 days. The label says 1 or 2 droppers but does not print the dropper volume, so we cannot give a day count for droppers.
Does the formula contain olive?
No olive ingredient appears on the label. The name suggests olive, but the panel lists no olive leaf, fruit or extract. We cover only the Olivaro liquid supplement shown on this label.
Why do label amounts differ from studied doses?
Studies tested other preparations, usually at larger amounts. LiverTox lists 1,200 mg a day of gymnema as typical, while the label gives no gymnema amount and the whole blend is 200 mg.
